About Us

Hippurse.com is a family owned and operated business that was established by four sisters.

From Left to Right...Kenya D'Agustino is the Marketing Director, Raylene D’Agustino is the Head of Operations, Sandy Christiano is the Hip Purse Inventor and Ladene Paulino is the Designer.

The idea began from Sandy's hectic world of raising two children and striving for life to be as simple as possible. One day she was in a rush to be on time for a doctors appointment, (by the way, she is never on time for anything) and during the rush she happened to lose her purse in her mini van. After an extensive search she finally found her purse. Now it was time to unload the children. Anna, her daughter, was taken out of the car seat and placed on the ground. As Sandy was turning around, so was her large purse- and it smashed Anna very hard in the head. As you can imagine, Anna cried from pain while Sandy cried for an easier (more fashionable) way to carry her belongings. Low and behold the Hip Purse!

When the company began to market the Hip Purse they were extremely pleased with the results.  Women loved the comfort and convenience and consistently said, “I have been looking for something like this forever, something fashionable, without a belt, this is perfect!”  Those words rang loud and clear.

Sandy's ideas never seem to stop, and we knew this one was the "one!" Her ability to start the company from "scratch" with a piece of cloth and a curtain hanger said it all.

Ladene is the head of Development and Design. She has had a "passion for fashion" ever since she was a little girl. With her eye for fashion and sense of style, she took Sandy’s initial design and created a whole new market with her trendy designs. The name, Paulino HipPurse, is a tribute to her designs.

Kenya has a BA in Marketing/Communications and has been in the industry for over eight years.  She has developed a contemporary vision for the company. Her experience also lies with Management, Client Communications and Public Relations. She is always on a mission to expand the business and bring everyone together.

Raylene is an inherent leader that keeps HipPurse.com on target.  For over fifteen years she has had a career in management.  She also contributes her bookkeeping and accounting skills as well. With these strengths, she has branded our company with “smooth operations!”

HipPurse LLC will continue to create various lines, such as the Hands-Off Collection, that will proudly support existing dilemmas within our nation.
